It immerses us in the spirit of its protagonist, an ordinary city dweller who recollects moments and scenes from his childhood, all inextricably tied to nature.<\/p>\n<p>Guided and accompanied by off-screen narration, these flashbacks intermingle, diffracted by his memory.<\/p>\n<p>The film, however, rejects Manichaeism, revealing nature as far from idyllic\u2026rather, as somber, at times ominous, but always fascinating and beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>The paradox of representing nature through computer-generated imagery lies at the heart of the film. It is also where its nostalgia resides. towns,<br \/>\nlying low under traffic tuning forks one no longer hears vibrating,<br \/>\npursued by the geometric fires of the metropolis\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026where I, too, hide<br \/>\nin a measured space<br \/>\nto which I have the key.<br \/>\nIn the luminescent blue of an algorithmic forest,<br \/>\nI suspect what I ignore.<br \/>\nAs in introspection, I grasp the extreme.<\/p>\n<p>Between two surfaces, I model depth.<br \/>\nI would like it to snatch me up.<br \/>\nIt takes me back to the threshold,<br \/>\nonce again.<br \/>\nI have to remember the aim.<br \/>\nWhere does this forest lead?<\/p>\n<p>Myxomycetes, Hemitrichya calyculata, Stemonitis, Physarum Polycephalum.<br \/>\nI believe that, left to herself,<br \/>\nin the hollow of its glistening intimacy,<br \/>\nmutant nature is red-orange.<br \/>\nI\u2019ve looked out for its genius in cellular palpitations,<br \/>\nin the pure and obscene growth,<br \/>\nwhere I\u2019ve seen her defy Time,<br \/>\ninvent signs of power,<br \/>\nenter the realm of my nightmares.<br \/>\nAs a child I had three scarabs.<br \/>\nA flying stag beetle: Lucanus cervus;<br \/>\na rhinoceros scarab: Oryctes nasicornis;<br \/>\nand the third, whose name I have forgotten.<br \/>\nMixed within my memory, they perform a totem.<\/p>\n<p>In the underwoods of Valergues, at the bottom of the Aveyron,<br \/>\nthe fixed image of the past is traversed by a breath of air.<br \/>\nI know, at this instant, a form triumphs over its tendency to wilt.<\/p>\n<p>And the darkness lights up.<\/p>\n<p>The wet wood dreams, mutatis mutandis, an idea of fire.<br \/>\nMutant nature is red-orange.<br \/>\nMutant nature is red-orange.<br \/>\n(\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s always night in my memory.<br \/>\nA lunar
