Ars Natura is a hybrid audiovisual performance combining sound, musical composition, lighting design, and 3D computer-generated imagery.
Engaging with our relationship to the living world, the piece invites us into a total immersion within a powerful, wild—even unsettling—nature. A work of science fiction, somewhere between a legend of the future and a sonic archaeology of a forgotten world.

LES INROCKS
“Blending live music, 3D imagery, lighting effects, and smoke, this new creation explores our relationship to the living world with both originality and sharp insight. A meeting with this adventurous artist. This new work questions our connection to life with equal parts originality and acuity.”
FISHEYE IMMERSIVE
“Science fiction becomes both intimate and cosmic. Nature, far from being a simple bucolic backdrop, turns into a landscape sculpted by human hands—at once wild and unreal. Fully immersed, the viewer begins to wonder whether they are still on Earth, or already inside a post-anthropocene simulation.”
OCIMAGAZINE
“Distortion and noise textures from their modular synthesizers struck hard and, at times, overwhelmed (…) immersive visuals where nature pushes its way through. Then suddenly, ambient takes over (…) digital bursts restore the tension, before a return to noise, leading back into more atmospheric and highly epic soundscapes. A piece that sought to provoke reactions—and largely succeeded, judging by the long and resounding applause.”
ResMusica
“The opening is explosive with Ars Natura (…): the gesture is powerful, between bursts and ruptures, smoothing and distortion within a high-tension sonic flow that nevertheless allows for expansive breathing spaces, in dialogue with Hugo Arcier’s video. Sumptuous 3D images (real or simulated) reveal a dense, wild nature (…) as much as a poetic one! Both eye and ear remain alert, carried by a highly successful interaction between the two mediums.”
RADIO NOVA
“Ars Natura at the Montpellier Opera: a science-fiction-inflected performance that questions our relationship with nature.”
