ARLEQUIN

“The a-bit-to-much-perfect characters seem to set apart from their idyllic background in order to materialize, embody their selves.
Volumes outline their shape, they settle down. A moment.

But the scenes, skins, clothes, are just a dented relief, where embossed folds of a very used book travel. Pretend-to-be bodies are nothing but unreal, nothing but dead.
Unable to exist anywhere else than in the hollow of the pages of a wrinkled book, they collapse after a long fall, until they lose themselves, and disappear in the plump and passive bounce of their papier-mâché flesh.
Only sad body parts and décor pieces remain.”
